Geotechnical investigations are performed by our engineers to obtain information on the physical properties of soil earthworks and foundations for proposed structures and for repair of distress to earthworks and structures caused by subsurface conditions.
The Geotechnical Investigations also includes:
- Investigation by Drilling Boreholes
This includes holes advanced to collect soil samples, water samples or rock cores, to advance in situ sampling equipment, or to install monitoring wells. Samples are collected from boreholes and tested in a laboratory to determine their physical properties, or to assess levels of various chemical constituents or contaminants.
- Conducting Field Tests
The purpose of this test is to establish parameters for foundation, substructure and infrastructure design and to assess the potential geotechnical, geoenvironmental, geological and hydrological risk to humans, property and the environment.
- Collecting Samples & Carrying Out Laboratory Tests as per Relevant Standards
This test is performed to check the consistency, physical properties, chemical constituents, contaminants in the various products and checking their quality for usability.
- Furnishing Report with Recommendations
Lab Reports are factual presentations of test results done in a materials lab. Typically, lab reports discuss materials and procedures as well as describe the details of a test.
Geotechnical Investigations Scope
- Field Investigations
- Laboratory Testing
- Analysis and Recommendation of Foundation System
